Chief Executive Officer
Sarah Hanawald is the new Chief Executive Officer of One-to-One Institute.
One to One Institute (OTO) Board of Directors and staff welcomed their new CEO, Sarah Hanawald to the organization. Ms Hanawald succeeds founding CEO, Leslie Wilson, who has led the organization since its incorporation in 2006.
Ms Hanawald has more than twenty-five years of experience pioneering education innovation and leading transformational change in schools. Her work is focused on the learner and encompasses the intersection of technology with curriculum and pedagogy.
During her career, Sarah has worked in and with public, independent, and charter schools across the US. She has been a classroom teacher, a technology director, an academic administrator, and an educational technology consultant. Most recently, Sarah served as the first Executive Director of the Association of Technology Leaders in Independent Schools (ATLIS), taking the organization from a nascent startup to a sustainable, thriving professional association.
Sarah has a BA from Duke University and an M.Ed. from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She earned a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Duke University. Sarah resides in Raleigh, NC with her spouse and two children.
