Leslie Wilson Chief Executive Officer
Leslie is a founding member of the One-to-One Institute, a non-profit serving schools, districts, states and countries in successful implementation of 1:1 programs. Ms. Wilson co-directed Michigan’s 1:1 project, Freedom to Learn and served public education for 31 years in a number of administrator and teacher roles. She directs and manages the Institute's programs and operations while working with a collaborative cadre of state and national service providers. Ms. Wilson ensures hands on, shoulder to shoulder collaboration with each client wherever they are on the continuum of development or implementation. This includes help with planning, design and launch, curriculum and content integration, on-line assessment, leadership, and sustainability. Ms. Wilson and the team offer comprehensive professional learning and development, program templates for teachers, administrators and technology personnel to ensure success around the organizations’ project goals.
One-to-One Institute is the oversight enterprise for Project RED, the research project that demonstrates effectiveness and revenue positive results of well implemented school technology.
As co-chair of the National Steering Committee of One to One Directors, Ms. Wilson facilitates the network and collaboration among one to one practitioner leaders. She has extensively authored and presented around 21st century teaching/learning/leadership, 1:1 best practices and research. She serves on national and state committees aimed at transforming education.
As an Education Policy/Program Fellow with the Institute for Educational Leadership, Ms. Wilson facilitated the creation of an advanced fellowship program for educational technology leaders in Michigan. She completed her doctoral coursework in education leadership at the University of Michigan, MA in instructional technology from Wayne State University, special education administrator certification from Eastern Michigan University and a BS in education from the University of Michigan. Ms. Wilson was a certified adventure based counselor.

Jan Kesel, Programs & Communications Coordinator
Joining the One-to-One Institute as the Business Office Manager is Jan Kesel. Shedirects the delivery of programs and services to One-to-One Institute strategic allies and clients. She works directly with organization contacts, vendors, and service providers to orchestrate delivery-related activities. Her expertise includes on-site support, workshop development/management, training sessions, seminars, regional, state and national conferences; showcase schools, forums, virtual classrooms, and meetings. Jan is also the web content manager, and manager of service-delivery evaluation reporting processes, our e-Newsletter, and OTO bookkeeping.
Jan brings to the institute over 30 years experience as an educator; she is a former Advanced Placement English and web design/computer teacher who retired from the Waverly School District. She has experience in curriculum development, technology integration, school accreditation, website development as well as numerous student activities. She has also worked for the College Board as a reader of SAT and AP English essay exams. She was most recently the Program Assistant for Michigan Leadership improvement Framework Endorsement (MI-LIFE), an educational leadership program which provided professional development toover 800 Michigan school administrators.
Jan has a bachelor’s degree in English and history from The University of Michigan and a Masters in English from Michigan State. She has completed advanced work in technology, English, and education.
